The team behind your Security Operations Centre

Andrew Samsonoff

Founder and CEO

Andy started Invinsec to tackle a pain point he had experienced in industry and consultancy – SIEM and SOC solutions were ineffective and way too expensive. Invinsec addresses a belief that enterprise grade detection and response should be affordable for all sizes of business. Andy’s background spans military, financial services and the big four consulting firms. He has been both a CISO and Consulting Director, advising companies on the types of services and solutions that Invinsec provides. Andy holds CISSP and has a MSc in International Security and MLitt in Terrorism Studies.

Phil Johnson

Chief Technology Officer

Phil currently leads the technology team and provides the technical roadmap for Invinsec’s cyber security service. Before joining Invinsec, Phil served as Technical Director at another UK based SIEM start-up business, offering a cloud-based SIEM platform to small and medium sized businesses. He has experience in both the public and private sectors, providing security consultancy for clients such as HPE and Telefonica among a host of others. Phil also worked for the UK Government, first as a Software Engineer and then as a Technical Manager where he led a team building software protecting critical networks from malware and APTs.

Aled Jones

Director of Customer Experience

Aled is responsible for all customer engagement at Invinsec, including Customer Account Management, the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and the Implementation Team. Aled joined Invinsec from the UK police service where he was a detective, primarily in the Bristol area, and in his last role was responsible for establishing and managing the South West Regional Cyber Crime Unit. He has a deep understanding of the criminal mindset, extensive experience of successfully targeting and bringing to justice cyber criminals and a passion for supporting and protecting victims. Prior to joining the police, he served in the military. Away from work, Aled spends the majority of his spare time supporting his family’s various sporting commitments, coaching his son’s football team, watching rugby and cycling large distances on a road bike searching for some peace and quiet!
